Thanks for all the suggestions. I have plenty to think about now. Of course, Tuesday morning it's supposed to be 22F so the thought of 50F and raining seems optomistic in terms of weather

My favorite suggestions so far have been the Pearl Izumi gloves and the ski glove minus liner option. Both seem to be pretty hassle free options.
