LBS as danka stated and NORBA (USA cycling). NORBA is starting to loose it's appeal with it's racers so you may want to look for a well organized local event that is not associated with NORBA. You will most likely have more fun and it will be easier to get a feeling for the race.
Also, look up 24 hours of adrenaline, local clubs ( can be found at your LBS ).
