B2bhick: I think I forgot my smiley: The Vanilla kicks the F100's butt You know I had to open up that can of worms, hehe. I just couldn't hold it in. I really don't know if I believe it or not because I've never ridden your Epic or XTC. I just regurgitated the knowledge passed on to me via the internet and bike shops. I know, I'm a punk.

The one thing that I don't like about the Vanilla compared to the F series forks is the teeny bit of bushing play that is inherant to the Vanilla that helps it cycle so smoothly w/o stiction.

RS Recon: On my old RS Pilot, I had to take the spring mechanism out of the left leg, pull the "all travel" spacer out, put it back together, and put the spacer in on top of the spring...(I think that's how it worked)

The Recon "U-Turn" forks have a knob to turn that changes the travel.
