Rim is toast. Just get another rim, tape it next to the old one and loosen the spokes and transfer them over. Takes about 15-25 minutes total including the truing if you have an electric screwdriver. About 30-45 minutes if you spin the nipples on manually.

Mavic used to be the premiere top-of-the-line rim brand, but they've slipped way way down. Sun appears to be making better rims than Mavic now.
