Stage 17 of Le Tour. No question for me.
Some of the best footage I recall from this year was from the Lombardia while the camera bike was following Bettini on his near death descent into the finish. Other than stage 17, it's the only time this year I've been literally on the edge of my seat, hands clasped in anticipation waiting to see what was going to happen. Good, good times. It was also memorable because it was during my recovery from my knee surgery. I flew my mom down from Iowa to help drive to my physical therapy appointments and such...and when Bettini won and started crying, so did she
