If you're not going to race it for fear of crashing, then don't bother.
But then again, I think you'd only continue with that idea for a few weeks until you get your first scratch on the frame. Once you nick it, you can race it.
And if, for some strange reason, you don't notice it being any different than your Moldy Pecan, then you can turn around and sell it....which I predict will not be the case.
