I had a friend that had a comeback to people who were in their 60s, in great shape, and talking about it at parties. He would wait until the guy made a big deal about his accomplishments and then say, "You are in such great shape, that I suspect you would be able to fight and resist serious illnesses, like cancer. Why, I bet you could last 3 to 4 years, maybe longer, against it, even though it was whittling you down & very painful."
He would then add that he was so out of shape, that he expected that something like a heart attack would kill him in a matter of minutes.
The line never failed in making the fit guy pause for a few seconds.
Of course, he was purposefully avoiding that the fit guy might have an extra 10-20 years of good health.
