Yes, they are made from sugar maple boards and pull around 50 pounds. I have a Red Elm, Black Locust, Yew and a Walnut/Hickory two piece project in the works. These are being made from tree staves except the Walnut will be Hickory backed. I also have some more Maple and a piece of Bamboo to back with. So far I've made maybe 5 or 6 bows and helped a friend with his. So many projects, so little time!
