I don't think you can really go wrong either way, but I'm skeptical of buying used equipment, especially brake levers. I know the bashing mine have taken over the years. I'm still pondering what to do with these XTR levers I have leftover. One is slightly bent but they're both in good working order. Maybe I'll ebay them or something.
