GR9s are really nice, inexpensive, smooth pedals, and they are very comfortable with street shoes/sneakers/etc. My two beefs:
1) Much like Bon Jovi, they are quite slippery when wet. Judicious use of grip tape scraps from your local skate shop (use clear grip tape so you can put your rad stickers underneath!) solves this problem.
2) The flip tabs on the back have a well-documented history of breaking off a little too easily. That said, they're still relatively easy to flip into even when the tabs are gone.

For the price, I don't see either of these problems as deal breakers, but ymmv.
