I've sold about 20 bikes on CL. Most were low priced bikes I flipped. Three were a little higher priced, well over $100. IMHO, fender 1 is right, CL is more of a bargain hunter venue. The three higher priced bikes took longer and had fewer responses. Add to that, you're selling a vintage/classic and you've got a very focused (smaller) group of buyers. I think you just need to have patience. But the comments about ebay are correct, you'll find a much larger group of potential buyers. You'll have to consider, the average ebay buyer calculates shipping and handling into the total price. On the other hand, you might find a fanatic, who'll bid way more than the bike is worth, like I did when I purchased my Nishiki Ariel frame. If you find two fanatics, your the winner.
