Integration is merely a way of ensuring system performance for those who don't know how to spec their own bike .
Also, Shimano is still making rapidfire+ shifter pods and ithey've just been updated for this year's OEM supply. Xt brake levers M750 will also be available for those who want to run their bikes the old way.

2 different systems, 2 choices, that a bit more than SRAM offer.

Monopolistic attitude toward SRAm probably stems from SRAM stealing Shimano ideas and infringing on patents and getting away with it.

1-1 ratio is proprietary, that is why SRAM produces stuff in 1-2 ratio as well. It is quite funny, because if SRAM is stealing ideas, then she is stealing them from someone (shimano) that doesnt own them. Luckily , justice didnt favor shimano...

I am very happy to hear that XT 750 stuff is still beeing made, since i am totally satisfied with my XT 755 discs, perfect product.
