Actually the lack of a seat is to keep you from castrating yourself and provide more standover for tucking. And, actually there are only a few trials bikes that come with a functional seat tube. I have no seat and my cranks are longer than my seat tube. I sit on the top tube or on a rock/pallet when I'm resting.
