ok, if the spacer is there and snug then your fine in that department.
try not tightening the spindle bolts down as hard. then tourque down the pinch bolts hard.
tighten the spindle bolts snug enough to keep them from moving around, but not tight enough to bind up.
the pinch bolts do most of the work.
