You have got to be kiding me, right? I recently bicycled 20 miles down a 65mph+ 2-lane route (60mph posted) and there was a nice 6 foot shoulder. If that shoulder did not exist, there is no way in hell it would have been safe to take the lane - that shoulder is a HUGE advantage for bicyclists. Do you
ever ride in more dangerous conditions then to the grocery store and back?!
