Sorry to hear the bad news.
I was in a similar situation a few years ago. My wife told me to get the bike. She said it would be better for my health than a few extra dollars in the bank.
When you get stressed (job hunting) you can go for a nice stress-relieving ride and when you're sitting around the house (waiting for the phone to ring) and putting on the pounds
you can go riding.
Get the bike!
