Around here it's mainly smarter racing and the beginnings of team strategy. There's also a bit more patience with riders off the front, as others have mentioned. Some say it's safer, but don't kid yourself--there can still be carnage.

If you're unattached, I'd also start looking for a club. Training and racing just become easier and more fun, at least in my experience--my club is great, though. YMMV.
