I own both an SSC SL and Reynolds Alta Race wheelset. Both are good wheelsets and the differences are subtle at best.
The Alta Race is the same as the Solitude, but is silver in color instead of black.
The SSC SLs are noticably stiffer than the Alta Race's, and acceleration is better. But I think the Alta Race wheelset is more aero. I use the SSC SLs in the hills because they climb better, and the Alta Race wheels in the flats for more aero advantage.
