It definitely helps to have a traning partner. Last year, for my first sprint tri my buddy would always show up at my door and wake me up early in the am so we could go train. This helped me a ton in getting motivated to train, and it was much more fun when I had a buddy there with me pushing the pace. Try and have some fun with ur workouts, and remember to taper before your event.
