This thread was suggested by another recent thread. Some of us wonder how Reynolds 853 compares with competitors, such as OX Platinum, Deda Zero, and others.

853 has a reputation for being a harder material, and more difficult to work with. But it would be interesting to hear from people who know more about all these high quality steels.
