He beat all the favorites by 12 seconds and more.
It also sort of looks like he is on a round tube bike set up as a TT bike, with 50mm or so deep wheels.
The prologue was only 3 miles, but his average speed was over 30 mph - aerodynamics play a pretty big role at those speeds.
Apparently there was an error in the results and his time was off by a minute. He's been relegated to 65th place. I guess that TT stuff is important.
