in RR in Oregon we usually have both lanes at 200M. Pro/1/2 races in some very special circumstances (e.g. NRC races) get both lanes the entire race.
The egg is already laid at 200m. If you're going to suspend the yellow line rule in any meaningful sense it's got to be more than that.

The crit. I'm referring to is the Greenbelt, MD, training series. I'm in south-central PA and I've got a good friend in D.C. so I've been going down for them. The course is a 1.4 mile loop in a state park. There is occasional traffic on the other side of the road hence the yellow-line rule. It is a training series so take it or leave it, eh? I do think, however, that it would be possible and safe to get ride of the yellow line rule .25 miles or .5 miles out from the finish.
