Four of us are thinking of driving up to check out Portland on Monday 18th, to Thursday 21st and I hope we can bring our bikes. We're looking for a place to stay that is clean, centrally located to the heart of the city (downtown i guess??) and fairly cheap (about $100/night). Any suggestions would be great.

Also, any cool coffee shops, bars, bookstores, historical sites, thrift stores, bike shops?
