This has mostly already been answered, but I'll add that you want to watch out for front derailer cable routing.
Some 'cross frames use top pull cable routing, where the sift cables run along the top tube, and the front derailer cable then runs
down along the seat tube. There are no "road" front derailers with top pull cable routing. There are ways around this, but it's basically a big hemorrhoid.
