There are so many out there, if i could be reasonably lightweight that would be an added bonus and i dnt really wanna spend more than £150 on suspension forks. The last suspension i owned was the Sr Contour XCC and that did me well, maybe something with a bit more bounse but siftness when i want it to be there. The bike will be used mainly on the road with the odd occasional offroad trek.

Personally, if you have financial limitations, it doesn't make much sense to me to spend a big part of your budget on a suspension fork that is going to weigh more and isn't going to do much for you.
If your goal is to look cool, just buy whatever fork fits your budget that has the most travel. That way you can always brag about how much travel you have.
If your goal is to actually improve your bike's handling, I'd trade travel for better dampening anyday. Smooth dampening is what keeps your wheel glued to the trail so you have better control and can ride faster on the rocky downhills.
