Well, c'mon, he sounded as though he didn't know he was
on one...if he'd said "other than this one" or something it would have been different. It's kind of like when your brother is sitting at the table at your house with a plate of food in front of him and looks at you and says, "I'm hungry, do you have anything to eat around here?" It's too "duh" a question not to give the "duh" answer of, "You mean, other than what's on the table in front of you?"
And (although I hadn't answered yet) it sounds like most people don't even use other ones, so it's nice that they answered at all instead of just ignoring the question.
