Are you perhaps referring to the article written by pro tri-geek Jim Riccitello where he describes his day as a "tandem bit*h" stoking for Gord Fraser at the 2001 Tour de Tucson? The Tour de Tucson is a 115 mile ride and, yes, they finished first... besting several other pros on 1/2 bikes.
