Hello Kristi: Welcome to biking and welcome to the bike forums.

I live in Oregon and my brother lives in Arizona City and works in the Phoenix
area. He just sent me recent pics of a dust storm that totally enveloped his home!
I don't envy you guys this time of year dealing with dust storms and the heat but
during the winter months when were getting dumped on up here in the N.W and its
80 degrees where your at, its a different story!

Wow, for someone new to riding your really ambitious, but thats good, you have a great
mountain bike and I don't think you can go wrong with a Cannondale, I ride a RUSH 3Z and love
it, but I don't think brand is as important as fit and comfort and if the bike fits into the type of
riding you wish to do. I found I couldn't settle on just one bike, so I have several depending on what riding mood strikes me at the time.

Enjoy! I had not ridden a bike in years and had forgot how fun it is, not to mention the health benefits.
