Ouch!

Got back into biking 2 mos. ago after a forty year hiatus! Imagine!
Started with a hybrid bike, upgraded very quickly to yet another hybrid but a bit better. Am now looking at a true road bike.
Purpose for biking: loose weight. Going in a Caribbean cruise in November and I don't want to hurt anyone when I take my shirt off!! The weight is coming off - ever so slowly - but here's the "rub" (pardon the pun):

I can't find any combination of padded pants or a saddle that does not really cause pain in the arse after about thirty miles or so. The rest of me could ride all day if my hinny could hang in there.

I've now have a gel filled saddle and some really good padded shorts. But my tuckus just won't "callous" up!

I figure a real road bike will get me in a better position for longer runs and off my keester.

Any advice out there??
