Chain tugs and riding alone

Yeah. Got the BMX tugs I bought mounted and, after a day of riding, tension is still perfect. No slack when the pedals are pushed.

It will be interesting to see which component wears/breaks first, for there's a little battle going on in my bike's rear:

The tugs, ever-so-hardly pulling my wheel back as far as possible

The (steel, not aluminum) allen skewer, trying to keep everything in place and aligned, while taking all the abuse of riding

The wheel, which wants to move forward constantly, but is resisted by the tensioners and the skewer

Anyway.

Don't you guys love just solo riding at night? Personally I love going for a sunset ride, maybe 15-20 miles through the suburbs, with no real direction or destination. Finding routes home is half the fun. And with the woosh of the disc and my current feeling of freedom... priceless. The only bad thing is that I have nothing to do all day, so it takes forever till it's 7 or 8 pm, perfect riding time.
