I try to remain as pale as possible. I also want to avoid developing skin cancer (a woman I know recently had to have a tumor on her forehead removed that she got from unprotected sun exposure). I am actually waiting for the tan of my arms, the result of forgetting sunblock, to go away...
Ethnically, I think census wise I would be "other".
