This argument makes no sense. Tailwind Sports had to have some value. Certainly it had value if it could sign a new sponsor. If you want to cash in on your investment, you sell it. Ceasing to operate any value it had goes down the toilet and the investors lose all their investment.

This would be a reason for Bruyneel to resign, but you hire a new DS.
If there is something more than just lack of sponorship, I think it would be that the people behind Tailwind Sports don't want to get mired in more drug controversies.
