I am volunteering some time at a glider encampment for the Air Force Aux Civil Air Patrol. I thought that my Mountain Bike would be great for zipping around the airfield. Since I am one of the Squadron's Safety Officers, I figured that I should avoid the appearance of being a bad example and wear a helmet.
Also note that if this is on a USAF installation that on most, Helmets are Mandatory Equipment while riding a bike.
