Agreed. And the bike is too nice to be a commuter. I think the rule is "No commuter bike shall be utilized from any post 1990 production bicycles", or something like that except, of course, for the 14 ammendment "post 1990 production bicycles may be utilized as long as the bicycle is a low-cost mountain bicycle".

The law for commuter bicycles also requires fenders, rear carriers with bungee cords, lights, and reflector tape.

So, from several aspects, this bicycle is does not meet recent qualification standards to be classified as a commuter.
