East St. basically sucks from Orangethorpe on down. No shoulder and crap load of cars. Anaheim Bl is a much better alternative without too much trouble and risking death, although there is some road construction going on. Past Ball Rd, make a left onto Cerritos. That will get you to the back side of the Pond/Anaheim Stadium/SART.
