That does suck. Your frame was apparently made on a Monday. The welds on mine look fine to me (and I do welding & metalworking as a hobby). Now we have a sample size of 2....

I'm building up my frame pretty cheaply, but I'm spending a little money on the wheels. I can justify that because I'm building them myself (saving labor) and I know that they can transfer over to a more expensive bike sometime in the future. Handlebars, crankset, and pedals are leftovers from my spares bin.
