My heart goes out to the family and the cyclist. In addition, I rode off of hwy 138 coming out of Crestline last Friday and fell down down 150 foot hillside, after crashing through two pine trees. No road-side barriers to stop me; no call boxes; no one stopped to help me; I was going too fast for the hairpin left-hand turn. I crashed. Then I rode 30 miles back to the car. I'm not suing the county for the torn-up asphalt and debris on the road, or the lack of barriers; my torn jersey, bibs, and smashed computer and broken chain. Not to mention my injuries.
