I ended up buying an eGo Classic from a nice woman in Santa Cruz for $400. Took it on a maiden voyage yesterday to the grocery store and it was great. Battery really gets drained at top speed though.
Put on my Axiom Champlain panniers and it has quite the carrying capacity now
Going to look into adding on additional batteries
