It may be that there is no easy Pie Ride, because as I understand it the Pie ride involves climbing Palomar and Mesa Grande. The original route is a 100+ mile century that also includes the Lake Wohlford climb near mile 99. The modified Pie Ride we are doing on 9/30 is a 70 mile semi-loop that skips Lake Wohlford and Ramona. Doable? Most certainly. Easy? Not so much.
That is unless you just want jschen to shuttle you to the pie shop. That would be easy.
Oh for cry eye, people, I'm KIDDING. I will probably struggle on the regular Pie Ride and I was just making a point that there is no way in hell that I could keep up on the one the OP is suggesting (although, I'm thrilled he's planning it as it's a new guy! We welcome those
). However, I'm just wondering that if Thanksgiving weekend is now going to be this ride in lieu of the regular Pie Ride, is there going to be a regular Pie Ride?
Sheesh...I'm not looking for an "easy" ride!
