I have a 1200 as well and run continental 28's (gatorskins) on it with very little room to spare. Also I have to release air from the tire to get it past the brake shoes. I would certainly not go for a 32- continentals supposedly are slightly undersized. Have you considered a gatorskin as an alternative to the marathons?
