He had a C'dale (scalpel) which - duh - he outgrew. Moved to a used Salsa Moto Rapido that we got from a friend for a great price - it was a Medium, and he (let's hear it, folks...)
outgrew it. He liked the frame, so we ordered a Large last fall... it was a close fit by the time it arrived in March. Well, he spent the summer growing. He's at about 6'3", and 15.
He really likes the Taurine, so, because we can get a pretty good discount from the LBS, and a factory discount from the Regional C'Dale rep (who dissed the kid when he was 7, but has finally been forgiven!), I can get him the Taurine for about the same price as an XL Moto Rapido - which seemingly no longer comes in black, just gold? Kid says NO WAY!!
If (or when) he outgrows the XL, he's on his own. I give up.
