I participated in a "Bay in Two Days" ride this past June, led by Russ & Sheila Stevens of ACTC. Russ wrote it up for Bicycling Magazine's Bicycling.com website, and you can find the writeup, with directions and photos, here:

We started in Sunnyvale, rode up the SF peninsula over the GG Bridge and into Marin on day 1, stayed overnight at a funky little motel in Novato, and on day 2 rode across Rt. 37 and the Carquinez Bridge into Martinez and down thru the east bay back to Sunnyvale.

It was about 100 miles per day but the studly amongst us could do it in one day.
