Velocity Deep-V rims are pretty bombproof too. Add some double butted spokes along with a a good wheel build and you're set.
I've got a set of Deep-V + Sapim Spokes + Ultegra hubs with 28/32 f/r spoke count with 2x lacing from Spinlite Cycling and they've been great. I've only had to true the rear one time a teensy bit after hitting a rock.
