Most of the time I see crap bikes in my local resale shops, but at crappy prices too. I just picked up a Raleigh Record in my size (24" or 25" frame) for $12. It needs a lot of work, but the frame is in really good shape, so I'm going to convert it to a fixie. It was sitting next to a Schwinn Continental marked at $19, I guess because it said Schwinn.
Many years ago I scored a very tall (27" frame size) Schwinn World in near mint condition for $25. Still have it, it's still nearly pristine. Just a little too tall for me, I'm hoping to sell it to a friend who is 6'9".
