Just got back from a really windy ride. Near the coast, circling the canyons, the wind was terrbile. Walked down some of the worst corners of the canyons. But later , I rested my bike adjacent a park bench to take some photo's of the stormy sea. Even tho the bike was on about a 30 degree pitch, the wind started to pick it up. i cought it before it appeared it was gonna tumble over in the opposite direction. With winds averaging 30 mph, those gusts must have been over 50. / Tried to find the best position to stabilize the bike , while riding. Never sure how to handle a bike in strong winds. I decided the bike seemed more stable in a totally aero position with my mouth almost touching the handlebars.
