Sugino 75 crankset question

Hi All-
I just bought a used cyclocross as a winter bike, and it's got a Sugino 75 crankset on it. I'm having a hard time placing it (it's not the track crank). By a little research, it appears to be an '87. The rest of the bike has considerably newer components. The crank is nice and smooth.

I read somewhere that 75 was a high end component line back in the day. I'm hopelessly ignorant about vintage components and could use some advice. All I really want is a decent crankset that's solid but not too nice (winter bike). At the same time, if this is a crank that someone would better appreciate on their vintage bike, I'd just as soon get rid of it. Should I ride it with this crankset knowing it's going to see some poor conditions, or swap it out for something else?
