What are the Cardinal Sins of Road Cycling ?

Ok , Ill pitch in with one to start.

If you are wearing cleated shoes and are clipped in , you should always be on the lookout ahead for something that requires you to unclip a foot in a hurry. Ive sidled up behind rapidly slowing down cars and not gotten a foot out in time and landed on my arse. I soon learned to be much more observant and actually paying attention to what is going on around me in future.

Id like hear what you deem to be cardinal sins in terms of technique, preparation, gear used, riding styles............everything to do with road cycling. I might learn something from this thread.
