My Truck bag is a $10 solution (actually $3.33 since I got 3 for $10) and it will suffice for now. I really don't commute all that much right now. I don't think it looks too ghetto.
There is a new kind of hose clamp that comes with the butterfly handle. It's available at the Auto parts at Wal-Mart. The coolest thing that it is tool-less.
