I like to go to places like the St. Louis Zoo and the Forest Park area in St. Louis. For example, we have a Forest Park Great Balloon Race every September. Last year I convinced my husband to put the bikes in the pickup truck, and we parked at the Zoo parking lot. We then locked our bikes to a tree and did about an hour of viewing in the zoo (no bikes allowed). When we were done, we rode our bikes to the area of the balloon race. Since it was packed there, using the bikes was an easy way to get around, it would have been a nightmare in the truck. It was fun and there were other cyclists there as well. One guy was nice enough to let us use his mini-pump for my husband's tire. I look forward to places where we can take the bikes. My husband hates crowds and being on the bikes gives him that "space" that he desires. We are still finding fun ways to ride together.
