I was at a bikeshop recently and had a chance to eye a new 2005 Poprad. First of all. Metallic White with blue panels. Beautiful paintjob.. (I like the white better than my black!)
carbon seatpost, true cross crankset (no 52 this year), 12-27 cassette, Platinum tubing (no more reynolds for Lemond. . ?) And better inline brake levers. (says the shop guy.. things dont get much simpler than inline levers, how much "better" these are is questionable but whatever..) same tires and wheels, same brakes, same alloy fork.. different seat (dont remember what it was).. still 105 all around. and the price was basically the same around 1000-1100

there it is. She was a real beaut!!

(my poprad just served me 110% well on a 1200 mi tour fully loaded.. cant wait to strip her back down and hit the road 40 lbs lighter! : )
